Abstract

The first proposed project would consist of the signalization of an existing stop condition intersection at SR 81 and Keys Ferry Road in Henry County. In addition, the proposed project involves roadway improvements including the construction of a left-turn lane from SR 81 to Keys Ferry Road and a right-turn lane from Keys Ferry Road to SR 81. The proposed project would begin at M.P. 18.38 and end at M.P. 18.76 with a total length of approximately 2,000 feet. The existing right-of-way is 100 feet. No additional right-of-way would be required for project implementation. The second project would consist of the signalization of an existing stop condition intersection at SR 81 and New Hope Road in Henry County. In addition, the proposed project involves roadway improvements including the construction of a left-turn lane from westbound SR 81 to New Hope Road and a right-turn lane from New Hope Road to eastbound SR 81. The proposed project would begin at M.P. 18.38 and end at M.P. 18.76 with a total length of approximately 2,000 feet. The existing right-of-way is 100 feet and the proposed right-of-way would be approximately 120 feet. In addition, project implementation would involve the acquisition of approximately 10 feet of permanent easement at various locations along the north and south sides of SR 81.
