Abstract

Original: The proposed project would replace the existing bridge over Town Creek with a new bridge approximately 120 feet long by 44 feet wide on existing alignment. The bridge would contain two 12-foot wide travel lanes with 10-foot wide shoulders. The roadway approaches would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes with 10-foot shoulders, two feet of which would be paved. The proposed ROW would vary between 100 and 120 feet. Traffic would be maintained on a temporary on-site detour bridge to be constructed within a temporary construction easement to the west of the existing alignment with a maximum centerline-to-centerline offset of approximately 65 feet. The temporary bridge would be 140 feet long and 28 feet wide. Once the proposed structure and approaches are complete, the temporary bridge would be demolished (see attached sheet for revised project description).
