Abstract

An archaeological, botanical, and wildlife survey was conducted of sites proposed for construction by the Elijah Clark State Park 201 Facility Plan. The survey was conducted on November 13 and 14, 1980 at the request of Post, Buckley, Schuh and Jernigan, Inc. The project included a review of pertinent cultural and biological literature, site surveys to identify cultural and biological resources, and reporting of the survey findings. The report presents a project description, environmental setting, archaeological and historical perspectives, descriptions of the site surveys and conclusions and recommendations based on the findings of the surveys. No archaeological or historical sites were identified and little potential exists for site discovery in the project area. No significant botanical or wildlife resources* were identified. The site vegetation has been. heavily impacted by recreational use. Cultural and biological clearance is recommended for the project.
