This is a GDOT report short form for negative findings for Atlanta Road Intersections and Multi-use Path. The project will install landscaped median and left turn lanes; multi-use trail along Atlanta Road; intersection improvements at Atlanta Road and West Spring Street; pedestrian amenities including benches, trash receptacles, bike racks, street trees, signage and pedestrian scale lighting. Project area is limited to the road right-of-way along Atlanta Road, beginning at Concord Road and ending at Windy Hill Road. The entire project area is limited to the existing road right-of-way. All of the right-of-ways were heavily disturbed by road construction as well as the installation of utilities, sidewalk and parking lot construction, and urban landscaping. The condition of the survey area did not allow for shovel testing due to the presence of utilities and pavement. The entire project area was walked which allowed the crew to examine the ground surface wherever the surface was exposed. The remainder of the fieldwork was spent photographing the project area to justify the lack of subsurface testing by documenting the condition of the project area.
