Abstract

This is an Addendum to Archaeological Resources Survey for the Proposed SR 70 Deep Cree Bridge Replacement, Fulton County, Georgia. Bridge replacement at S.R. 70 over Deep Creek approximately 7.5 miles north of Fairburn in southwest Fulton County. Existing two lane bridge (120 ft long and 26.7 ft wide) will be expanded to 260 ft long and 44 ft wide. Total length of bridge and approaches is approximately 1,700 feet. Previous investigations covered approximately 2600 feet by 100 feet along each side of the roadway. Two additional survey transects were placed 100 feet from the previous survey transects to expand coverage of the corridor. Forty shovel tests were excavated along the project corridor. Each shovel test was 30 cm in diameter, and excavated into sterile soil.
