Abstract

Project IM-NH-20-1(73) would improve the I-20/SR 92/Fairburn Road interchange in Dougherty County. This project has been subjected to three previous surveys including Sherry Fleming in March 1998, Paul McIntosh in February 2004, and Shawn Patch in March 2006 (HP980317-003). Since that time the project has been changed to include additional length on the mainline. The project limits have been increased by 150 feet to the south and 300 feet to the north. The total length of the project is 0.9 mile. The existing right-of-way for SR 92/Fairburn Road is 100 feet. All work will be restricted to existing right-of-way. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed project description was conducted along the entire length of the project corridor. No existing or eligible National Register archaeological resources were located within the project's area of potential environmental effect.
