An archeological and botanical survey was requested for the Lawrence Creek area of Paulding County, Georgia, prior to construction of improved wastewater treatment facilities. The survey is located in Districts 2 and 3, 3rd Section, of original Cherokee County. No prehistoric sites and only one 19th Century house site (not within the impact area) were discovered. The documentary research in State files revealed other cultural resources outside the present study area. These resources are illustrated by a series of maps, spanning the years 1820 through 1927.
