Abstract

The proposed improvements on East Piedmont Road would begin approximately 800 feet west of its intersection with Sandy Plains Road and would end approximately 800 feet east of the intersection. The improvements on Sandy Plains Road will begin approximately 850 feet south of its intersection with East Piedmont Road and would end approximately 750 feet north of the intersection. The existing right-of-way for both facilities varies from 100 to 130 feet. Although most of the improvements would be within the existing right-of-way, additional right-ofway would be required in some areas and would vary from 4 feet to 16 feet on either side of the corridor. The additional right-of-way would not exceed 20 feet. The total project length is approximately 0.6 mile. A 0.6 mile long corridor, with a 20 to 50 foot wide area of potential effect on each side of the existing road.
