Abstract

Original Project Description: The proposed project would add left turn lanes on SR 92 at Collins Circle. In addition, Collins Circle would be realigned to a 90 degree angle with SR 92. Adams Circle would be converted into a cul-de-sac where it intersects with SR 92. At the intersection of SR 92 and Collins Circle, SR 92 would have an urban typical section consisting of two 12-foot travel lanes, 12-foot left and right turn lanes onto Collins Circle, 12-foot shoulders (two feet grassed) with curb and gutter and five-foot sidewalks. SR 92 would transition into a rural typical section north and south of the intersection. The rural typical section would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes with 12-foot shoulders (6.5 feet paved and four feet grassed) including five-foot sidewalks. The proposed right-of-way would range from 100 to 140 feet. The proposed Collins Circle would consist of two 11-foot travel lanes with 12-foot shoulders including curb and gutter and five-foot sidewalks. The proposed right-of-way would range from 40 to 50 feet. The proposed Adams Circle would consist of two 11-foot travel lanes with 12-foot shoulders including curb and gutter and five-foot sidewalks. The proposed right-of-way would range from 40 to 125 feet. The additional right-of-way is required to accommodate the cul-de-sac. The proposed project would require approximately 0.47 acre of right-of-way, 0.13 acre of temporary easement, and 0.69 acre of permanent easement. Changes Since the original special study reports were submitted: The project length has increased by 78 feet along SR 92. The project length is approximately 1,613 feet. It was lengthened 103 feet to the south and shortened 25 feet to the north. The project along Adams Circle has decreased by 69 feet to approximately 280 feet. The right-of-way has decreased from 0.47 acre to approximately 0.292 acre. Permanent easements have decreased to approximately 0.621 acre and temporary easement has increased to approximately 0.17 acre. The cul-de-sac at Adams Circle has been removed and replaced with right-in right-out access to SR 92.
