The proposed project would consist of expanding the capacity of the existing Sigman Road park and ride lot from 416 spaces to 566 spaces and building two bus pavilion areas with shelters for commuters and bus parking for better service (see attached location map). In addition, Chambers Drive would be modified to include a right turn lane at its intersection with Sigman Road. A traffic signal would also be added at this location. Insofar as Rockdale County already owns the property to which the improvements would be made, the need for additional right-of-way is not anticipated.
