Abstract

This is the proposed SR 120/Dallas Highway Pedestrian Improvements Phase II project. Phase II is currently one of 4 phases of the proposed pedestrian improvements along SR 120/Dallas Highway from Lost Mountain Rd. to Cheatham Hill Rd. The proposed Phase 11 project would involve constructing pedestrian improvements along the south side of SR 120/Dallas Highway from Villa Rica Way to John Ward Road for a distance of approximately 0.94 mile. The existing roadway from Villa Rica Way to John Ward Road consists of 4 12-ft travel lanes (2 in each direction), a variable-width raised median, and a combination of 10-ft rural and urban shoulders. The existing typical section would be modified to include an 180ft (maximum) urban shoulder that includes a 30-inch concrete curb and gutter (where applicable) with up to a 12-ft pedestrian enhanced sidewalk, offset 2.5.
