The proposed project would construct an approximately 1.4-mile multi-use trail on the west side of Atlanta Road from Ridge Road to Spring Road/Concord Road in the City of Smyrna, Cobb County. The proposed project would construct an 8 to 10 feet (ft) wide multi-use path.

A cultural resources survey for the Blackwell Road improvement project in Cobb County, Georgia was conducted by Brockington and Associates, Inc. in February 1996. The project corridor encompasses 4.0 km (2.50 miles) of Blackwell Road.

In June 1996 a cultural resources survey for the White Bluff Road Widening project in Chatham County, Georgia was conducted by Brockington and Associates, Inc. for Hussey, Gay, Bell, & DeYoung Environmental, Inc.

In June 1996, a cultural resources survey of the Jimmy DeLoach Parkway and Highway 21 Interchange project (Project No. MLP-25 (81)) in Chatham County, Georgia was conducted by Brockington and Associates, Inc. for Hussey, Gay, Bell, & DeYoung Environmental, Inc.

In January 1997 an archaeological survey of the Roxboro Road widening project in Fulton County, Georgia was conducted by Brockington and Associates, Inc. for Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc.

In March and May 1996 archaeological investigations were conducted by archaeologists from Georgia Power Company (GPC) and Brockington and Associates, Inc. on two sites, 9HK56 (Hancock County, Georgia) and 9PM689 (Putnam County, Georgia).

On December 1997, Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted an archaeological survey of the proposed Breckenridge Boulevard extension corridor in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

In September and October 1997, Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted an archaeological reconnaissance of previously identified sites in Western Cobb County, Georgia for the Cobb County Department of Community Development.

Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted an archaeological survey for the proposed 5th Avenue widening project in Columbus, Georgia, on August 24, 1999 for Moore Bass Consulting, Inc., under a contract with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).

Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted an archaeological survey for the proposed Buena Vista Road widening project in Columbus, Georgia in November 1999 for ICF Kaiser Engineers Inc.
