Abstract

The existing Panola Road bridge over 1-20 and its four-quadrant ramps will be reconstructed in association with the proposed improvements to 1-20 under GDOT project NHS-0000-00 (715), P.1. 000715. The bridge replacement is programmed as P.I. 0002868 interchange improvements from Farrington Road to Snapfinger Woods Drive. For the purposes of this project, improvements to Panola Road, the existing environment of the bridge and its ramps have been taken into consideration. The existing bridge over 1-20 is six lanes wide (2 through lanes and one left turn lane each direction) with no shoulders. Curb and gutter and a 5' sidewalk exists on the west side of the bridge. The bridge is approximately 225 feet in length. At this time, the typical section for improvements to 1-20 has not been.
