Abstract

Tohopeka Archaeological Consulting was retained by Croy Engineering, LLC to undertake a Phase I archaeological survey in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto. The proposed undertaking consists of improvements to the Millen Airport, Jenkins County, Georgia (Figures 1 and 2). The purpose of this Phase I investigation was to ascertain the presence or absence of archaeological sites within the project area. The field survey was conducted on June 1, 2007 under the direction of Paul McIntosh. One isolated artifact occurrence was identified as a result of the fieldwork.
