The proposed project would consist of a proposal to construct a parallel roadway to a portion of U.S. 78 beginning at the intersection of Rockbridge Road/East Park Place and Sharps Trail and ending at Davis Road. The proposed project would begin at the intersection of Rockbridge Road/East Park Place and Sharps Trail, and would follow existing Sharps Trail for approximately 0.2 mile before continuing on new alignment for approximately 0.3 mile to Davis Road. The existing typical section along Sharps Trail consists of two 12-foot travel lanes with curb and gutter on 60 feet of ROW. The proposed typcial section fo the entire 0.5 mile project would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes with curb and gutter and five-foot sidewalks on approximately 56 feet of ROW.
