Abstract

The proposed design improvement for Jimmy Carter Boulevard at Singleton Road's westbound approach includes an additional left-turn lane (creating dual left-turn lanes) and a dedicated right-turn lane. The proposed design improvements would also include a number of pedestrian safety features that include the installation of a pedestrian crosswalk across the south approach to Jimmy Carter Boulevard, the installation of sidewalks along the east side of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and along the south side of Singleton Road, and the installation of a pedestrian refuge island in the pedestrian crosswalk across the north approach of Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Existing right-of-way along Singleton Road varies between 92 and 105 feet. Proposed right-of-way would vary between 103 and 117 feet.
