Abstract

The proposed project would consist of milling, leveling, and resurfacing of the roadway "and shoulders of SR 401/I-75. The project would begin at the northern end of the CSX railroad bridge north of Cartersville and end at the southern end of the bridge over SR 156 in Gordon County. All construction will be limited to the existing shoulders. No earthwork is proposed. An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted along the approximately 35.4 km (21.98 mi) project corridor. No existing or eligible National Register archaeological resources were located within the project's area of potential environmental effect.
