Abstract

No evidence of recent historical or aboriginal cultural resources were found during the field survey for this project. In view of this negative evidence it is recommended that archaeological clearance be granted. The corridor traversed by the proposed pipeline extension will encounter several heavily wooded areas. Of these areas only one was determined to be of any botanical significance. This area is identified on the attached "Forest Type Map" as "6. Pine". This also includes the small group of pines located near Shields road and north of Brush Creek in the pasture. The significance of these species is based on their size and maturity and resultant aesthetic value. The commercial value of these specimens is not believed to be significant due to their limited number (approximately 20-25 stems).
