From October 17-19, 1983, a cultural resource survey was conducted by the author on 822 acres in the Chattooga Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest. The survey located three prehistoric sites and three historic sites in the survey area. only one of these sites, GA06S33, is recommended for protection. The remaining acreage, defined by the survey boundaries in Figure 2, is cleared from impact to cultural resources. Three heavily disturbed prehistoric sites were located outside of the survey area on a logging road used for access to the project area. No further action on them is recommended.
