Abstract

On April 11 and 12, 1983, February 28 and March 8, 1984, cultural resource surveys were performed on 479 acres in the Chestatee Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest. The surveys covered proposed timber sales and a wall road project along two drainages in Lumpkin and Dawson Counties, Georgia. Six cultural resource sites were discovered in the surveyed areas, none of which will effect a project, as modified. These areas are cleared from impact to cultural resources, with the modifications recommended herein.
