The lack of associated structures with this chicken barn diminishes its information potential for understanding 20th century north Georgia chicken farming. Furthermore, there are numerous intact examples of 20th century chicken farms in north Georgia, that is, chicken farms which have all functional elements (including the homestead). Therefore, this proposed 1.75 acre area was approved for use as a DOT borrow pit and no further cultural resources consideration is recommended.
