Abstract

This project consisted of the emergency repair of the flood damaged portion of Pool Road where it crosses Pool Creek (Figure 1). Specifically, the project consisted of the removal of damaged pavement, replacement of corrugated metal pipes (CMP), backfill and consolidated roadway subgrade, construction of headwalls at each end of the CMP, reconstruction of the roadway and shoulders, placement of rip rap at the pipe ends, and dressing and regrassing slopes. New striping and guardrails were also installed. All work was completed on November 5, 2009 and it took place within the existing 50-foot right-of-way.
