Abstract

Structure Site No. 8 is composed of seventy-four acres along Cooper Creek and a small un-named tributary branch in the southern portion of Hall County, Georgia. Archeological and historical survey of the interior pool area and the surrounding ridge tops, plus an extensive area downstream from the dam site, revealed only four prehistoric lithic scatters. Of the four sites, only one was in the area of primary impact. This site, No. 1 in this report,, was effectively mitigated at the time of survey. Recommendations for the remaining three are outside the scope of the USDA, SCS's project as currently set forth. in the Watershed Work Plan.
