Abstract

An archaeological survey was conducted along a proposed transmission line corridor through parts of Fulton, Cherokee, and Forsyth Counties, Georgia. During the survey an archaeological site, an architectural site, and five isolated artifacts finds were recorded. Considerable erosion and consequentially deep alluvial deposits were observed, accounting for the lack of cultural remains. None of the sites were considered eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places and no further work was recommended.
