Abstract

In an agreement between the Georgia Power Company and the State of Georgia, Department of Natural Resources Game and Fish Division, a portion of property owned by Georgia Power is to be leased to the Game and Fish Division for construction of a waterfowl pond. The proposed development area was archaeologically tested on May 13, 1982. No evidence of archaeological sites or cultural resources were located. The lack of cultural evidence is attributed to natural and man made erosional and depositional activities in the area.
