The Feasibility Study on Anthony Shoals is prepared as a base of information and recommendations upon which policy makers can base decisions on acquisition, use, development and management of the site. It contains general background information useful in the decision-making process; and it contains Policy Statements on purpose, program, and management which to guide staff in dealing with the site. The Policy Statements emerge from the study as recommendations of an interdisciplinary staff committee to DNR officials, the Heritage Trust Commission and finally the DNR Board. All Policy Statements are highlighted in script. Future plans and management programs will reflect more detailed decisions, but all will be done within the framework established by these policies.
