Abstract

On July 26, 1983, Robert S. Webb and Robert J. Hunter, of Claude Terry & Associates, Inc. (CTA) conducted a 100 percent coverage cultural resource survey of Oglethorpe Power Corporation's proposed Riddleville substation site in Washington County, Georgia. A review of the site files at the University of Georgia in Athens revealed that no prehistoric or historic resources have been previously recorded within the impact zone. Surface survey and subsurface shovel testing revealed no cultural resources. Since no resources were discovered, CTA recommends full cultural clearance for the proposed substation site.
