The following report has been prepared for submission to the Management Section, Department of the Army, Mobile District, Corps of Engineers, in compliance with current performance guidelines. The assessment was required as part of the process for obtaining easements through properties under the jurisdiction of the Mobile District for the purpose of construction of pollution control facilities, sewer lines, and an effluent force main. Such facilities are necessary in the area due to ever increasing urbanization.
Two reports have been submitted prior to this document; the first, dated January, 1984, dealt with proposed sewer lines adjacent to Butler and Proctor Creeks and the North Cobb High School line; the second, dated April, 1984, addressed the proposed effluent force main, (as designed at that time).
Due to circumstances beyond the applicant's control, various delays and changes in design and location of the treatment plant and changes.in the routing of a portion of the effluent force main have required additional cultural resource assessment.
