Abstract

On June 15, 2004, TRC conducted a cultural resources survey for the proposed Deep Creek crossing looping replacement and relocation project in Fulton County, Georgia. Southern Natural Gas Company plans to relocate and replace the 20-inch North Main Loop where it crosses Deep Creek. This project will require a 1,050 x 50 foot (320 x 15 m) workspace south of the existing pipeline. The Georgia Archaeological Site File had records for one previously recorded site (9FU369) within the eastern portion of the project corridor. This site was relocated during the current survey. The site was originally recommended ineligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places, and TRC's findings during the revisit concurs within this recommendation. No additional investigations are recommended for 9FU369. No other archaeological sites were identified during the current survey. Therefore, no further cultural resource investigations are recommended for the project area.
