Abstract

9Wo(DOT)3 was located during the archaeological survey for Department of Transportation Project RF-131-2(1}P (see Archaeological Survey for RF-131-2(1)P, Crisp, Worth and Dougherty Counties, Georgia 11) conducted in July, August and October, 1977. The site, which is located north of Abrams Creek at S.R. 257 (Figure 1) was first recognized by the presence of lithic debris in the graded right-of-way of S.R. 257 and the bed of a single lane dirt road which crosses the state route immediately north of the creek. Subsequent inspection of plowed fields to the northwest and northeast of S.R. 257 and the dirt road yielded more lithic materials.
