This project consists of the reconstruction of the 1-75 at SR 3/US 41/US 76 (Rocky Face) interchange located in Whitfield County. The interchange configuration will remain as a diamond interchange with an additional ramp in the northwest quadrant. Two lanes will be added to the existing ramp in the southeast quadrant. The ramp in the northeast quadrant will be relocated to the east and reconstructed. The southbound loop ramp will be reconstructed. The 1-75 bridge over US 41/SR 3 will be reconstructed as a single span bridge, and the 1-75 bridge over Mill Creek will be widened. SR 3/US 41/US 76 will be widened with an additional lane in each direction to a six lane roadway with a 20' raised median. Accommodations for a future lane will be provided to the inside for both 1-75 northbound and southbound. The traffic signals on SR 3/US 41/US 76 at Tibbs Road, Shugart Drive, and 1-75 northbound and southbound entrance ramps will be modified.
