Abstract

The proposed project would replace the existing bridge on SR 19 at the CSX Railroad 2.8 miles southeast of Dry Branch (see attached location map) due to a low sufficiency rating of 45.06. The project length is approximately 0.56 mile from Mile Point 19.68 to Mile Point 20.24. The proposed approach roadway typical section is two lanes, approximately 12 feet wide each with 10 feet shoulders, two feet of which are paved. The proposed bridge typical section has not yet been determined. The new bridge will be constructed on a new alignment south of the existing bridge. The project begins approximately 1600 feet to the west of the bridge and ends approximately 1600 feet to the east of the bridge. Existing right-of-way (ROW) along SR 19 is 100 foot. Proposed required ROW varies from 0 to 150 feet.
