Site 9WK(DOT)9 was located on August 28, 2001 during an archaeological survey for Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) project STP-062-1(25) in Wilkinson County. The proposed project consists of improvements to the intersection of SR 57 and SR 18, including segments of new location to realign substandard reverse curves on the south, west, and east approaches and for realignment of side roads to allow for 90-degree intersections with both State Routes. A total of 100 to 200 feet of additional right-of-way would be required for this project.
