Abstract

This report documents the results of the cultural resources survey of the proposed 38,750 square foot (0.9 acre) Hancock 46/12 kV Substation site and a 500 foot long by 100 foot wide transmission line corridor, Hancock County, Georgia. The field work was conducted by the Principal Investigator and one Senior Field Technician on August 1, 1991. No prehistoric or historic sites or isolated finds were discovered in the project area during the course of the literature search or field survey. Consequently, no additional archaeological investigations are recommended prior to construction of the proposed substation and transmission line.
