The proposed project consists of resurfacing on SR 61 in Gordon-Murray Counties. The project begins at mile post 11.85 in Gordon County and continues northerly to an end point at mile post 6.72 in Murray County for a total of 13.4 kilometers (8.30 miles). All construction is limited to the edges of existing pavement on SR 61. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed project description was conducted for the entire project corridor. No existing or potentially eligible National Register archaeological resources were located within the proposed project's area of potential environmental effect as described in paragraph two above. It is concluded, therefore, that the project will have no effect upon archaeological resources on or eligible for inclusion in the NRHP provided that the project conforms to that described above.".
