On August 18, 1987, a Phase I archaeological survey was conducted by David Davis of this office at the Midville Boat Ramp in Burke County, Georgia. The proposed project consisted of replacing an existing boat ramp, extending an entrance road, and clearing and grading approximately one acre for parking.
The assessment consisted of a surface inspection of exposed and eroded areas and a profiled shovel test in the wooded portion of the project area.
