Phase I Archaeological Survey of Moreland Avenue at Glenwood Avenue Intersection Improvement in DeKalb and Fulton Counties, Georgia

Abstract

The proposed project would consist of Glenwood Avenue being realigned to the south in order to eliminate the approximately seventy~foot offset that currently exists as it crosses Moreland Avenue and would accommodate a shared use lane for bicycle connectivity. Glenwood Avenue would also be restriped to accommodate a left tum lane on the eastern (westbound movement) leg of the intersection. This intersection is located within the City of Atlanta in DeKalb and Fulton Counties. Existing right-of·way (ROW) along Glenwood Avenue Is approximately 50 feet. Proposed ROW along Glenwood Avenue would be approximately 60 feet to 80 feet. The existing ROW along Moreland Avenue is approximately 70 feet. Proposed ROW along Moreland Avenue would be approximately 90 feet.
