Abstract

This report details an archaeological survey of the proposed Northrop substation and transmission line located in Peach and Houston counties, Georgia. This survey located eight previously unknown archaeological sites and four isolated artifact finds. Test excavations were conducted within one site, Site 4, and revealed a buried deposit of Archaic period artifacts. This site was recommended as eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. No further work was recommended for the remaining seven sites identified by this study.
