The proposed project would consist of replacing the structurally deficient two‑lane bridge at CR 131/EIIiott Road over Walnut Creek approximately .50 mile northeast of the City of McDonough in Henry County. The proposed bridge would be constructed at its existing location, along with roadway approach improvements required to comply with the Department's design policy guidelines. During project implementation, traffic would be diverted to a temporary bridge located adjacent to the replacement bridge location. The proposed project would be constructed within the existing right‑of‑way (ROW); however, a temporary construction easement would be required.
