The proposed project would consist of intersection improvements at State Route (SR) 81 and SR 162 in Newton County. The project concept is currently in development, though a preliminary survey area has been established. From the intersection midpoint, the project is anticipated to extend a maximum of approximately 705 feet west and 655 feet east on SR 81 and approximately 525 feet south and 985 feet north on SR 162. The amount of required right-of-way (ROW) needed for project implementation has yet to be determined. The width of the ROW is not anticipated to exceed 360 feet on SR 81 and 260 feet on SR 162.
