Abstract

The proposed project is located approximately 5.7 miles northwest of Screven in Wayne County, Georgia. The proposed project would begin approximately 950 feet west of Dry Creek and would end approximately 900 feet east of Dry Creek for a total project length of approximately 1,850 feet (0.35 mile). The proposed bridge would be approximately 200 feet long and 40 feet wide. The SR 203 typical section would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes with 6.5-foot paved shoulders. The speed limit would remain 55 miles per hour. The maximum ROW width would be 135 feet. The proposed bridge would be constructed on existing alignment. During construction, traffic would be maintained on a temporary bridge located approximately 60 feet south, centerline to centerline, of the existing bridge. The proposed project would require approximately 0.900 acre of ROW, 1.015 acres of permanent easement, 0.024 acre of temporary driveway easement, and 0.081 acre temporary fence easement.
