The proposed project would consist of the replacement of the existing structurally deficient bridge located on SR 232/Columbia Road at Walton Branch. This will be accomplished by constructing a temporary on-site detour on the south side of SR 232/Columbia Road and routing traffic along this temporary roadway, removing the 69-foot by 26-foot concrete bridge and constructing a new 100-foot by 40-foot reinforced concrete bridge in the same location. The temporary detour would then be removed. The roadway construction will begin at approximately Mile Post (MP) 7.97 and end at approximately MP 8.279. The roadway construction length will be 0.309 mile. Existing right-of-way (ROW) is 150 feet. Proposed ROW varies between 150 to 160 feet and temporary easement would be required.
