Project EDS00-0441 is widening and reconstructing US 441/SR 24 in Putnam County, Georgia. This project was subjected to six previous archaeological surveys, the first was completed by Brockington and Associates in 1998 and three subsequent surveys were completed by Teresa Lotti in 2001, 2005, 2008, and 2011 (HP# HP980429-008). Since the previous surveys, the project, which is currently under construction, requires the purchase of an additional two and a half acres to provide for runoff due to construction. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed project description was conducted along the entire length of the project corridor.
