The proposed project would consist of the following improvements to the bridge on SR 3/US 41 over Allatoona Creek: removal of the asphalt overlay; concrete overlay using hydrodemolition; replacement of edge beams and bridge deck expansion joints; sealing of cracks in the substructure using epoxy pressure injection; patching of spalled and honey combed concrete as needed; repairing of erosion at the bridge abutment; cleaning, repairing, and painting of corroded steel beams as needed; replacement of the bridge handrail; and replacement of the existing approach slab. All work would be completed within existing right-of-way.
