Abstract

S&ME, Inc. (S&ME), on behalf of Mungo Homes-Coastal Division, has completed an archaeological and historic resources reconnaissance ofthe 45-hectare (112 acres) Plantation Village tract. The Project Area is located west ofRoute 144 (Ford Avenue), north ofHolly Hill Road, and east of Sterling Creek in Richmond Hill, Bryan County, Georgia (Figures 1 and 2). The purpose of this study was to assess the Project Area's potential for containing significant cultural resources, and to make recommendations regarding additional work that may be necessary to address effects that future development may have on historic properties listed in or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
