Abstract

On July 26-27, 1987, John Jameson, staff archeologist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Savannah District, conducted an intensive cultural resource survey of two planned projects on Clarks Hill Lake: a proposed boat ramp in Lincoln County, and a proposed water intake facility in Columbia County. No historic or prehistoric site or object was recorded during the survey. Since no National Register eligible property will be affected by either of the two subject projects, it is recommended that the project proceed with no further cultural resource input.
