Site 9WK131, a late 191h to early 20th century historic artifact scatter, was recorded on July 9, 2013 during an archaeological survey of PM# 1371 for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The survey was required for the GDOT project which would make PM #1371 a surplus property. PM# 1371 was originally acquired by the GDOT in 1997 under Project No. EDS-441(24), PI no. 221930. The parcel is 15.67 acres and is located in land lots 160, 183, and 197 of the 4th and 5th Land Districts/Georgia Militia District 1714 of Wilkinson County, Georgia. It is located along the western edge of US Highway 441 north of its intersection with Macedonia Church Road in Wilkinson County, Georgia.
