Archaeological Assessment of Project STP-065-3(54), Jackson County

The proposed project consists of left and right shoulder pavement of S.R. 53 in Jackson County. The proposed shoulder pavement varies from 0.6 m (2 ft) to 1.2 m (4 ft). The project will begin at the Hall County line and will end at the Barrow County line for a distance of 14.3 km (8.8 mi). An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted for the entire length of the project corridor.
