In 2009 Greene County, Georgia proposed to construct a new bridge on the Cold Springs Road on National Forest land in Compartment 191. Surveys were conducted of four acres and a single prehistoric site was recorded (9GE3522). After the initial field work was completed, the project was halted. No further shovel testing was conducted on the site, which is unevaluated in regards to eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). This report was prepared to document the survey that was completed and the presence of the site. No undertaking is proposed at this time.
