Abstract

The proposed project consists of the realignment of SR 212 to intersect SR 16 approximately 0.80 km (0.5 mi) east of its present location. An eastbound right turn deceleration lane will be added on SR 16 to SR 212 southbound, and a northbound left turn lane will be constructed on SR 212. Additionally, a cul-de-sac will be constructed along the existing SR 212 west of the proposed realignment and will be designated a county road. The existing right-of-way is approximately 30.5 m (100 ft) along SR 16. Additional required right-of-way on SR 16 varies from approximately 5 m (16.4 ft) to 12m (39.4 ft) and varies from approximately 6 m (19.7 ft) to 92 m (301.9 ft) along the realignment of the SR 16/SR 212 intersection. An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted along the entire project corridor.
